The Little Well's one camper works weddings, offices and school picnics
Amber Marchand left communications consulting for a mint-green camper in Northern Virginia whose taps, slush machine and generator let one small trailer serve weddings, offices and school picnics alike.

The Little Well is a mint-green, vintage-inspired camper that its owner calls Welly, and it is set up to say yes to more kinds of event than most bar trailers. Behind the service window, according to the company's FAQ, are a three-tap draft system, a double slush machine and a Bunn batch brewer. The taps that pour wine, beer or prosecco at a wedding can run nitro cold brew or kombucha at a teacher-appreciation morning; the slush machine makes frosé for a bridal shower or slushies for a school picnic.
Amber Marchand started the business after 15 years in government and corporate communications consulting, wanting, as the company puts it, a small creative business that would bring people together. She also runs Be The Good Project, an Alexandria nonprofit she and her husband, Sterling, founded to help feed neighbors facing hunger. The camper carries that into its business model: The Little Well says it donates 10 percent of its sales and rentals to local nonprofits serving the Washington, D.C., region.

The clever part is how little the trailer asks of a host. It is 8 feet wide, 14 feet long and 9 feet tall, runs on its own generator, and comes with an electric hand dolly so it can be rolled indoors through an entry at least 11 feet tall and 8 feet wide. State regulations keep the company from buying or supplying alcohol, so hosts buy their own and get a free consultation on what to pour. A dry hire lets a caterer work straight out of the camper.
That flexibility gives one vehicle several ways to earn: full-day rentals pitched at weddings and corporate events, an hourly "Stir It Up" rental staffed by what the company calls a "taptender," and appearances at school picnics and community festivals where Welly sells coffee and slushies directly to guests. Travel within 30 miles of its home ZIP code is included; beyond that, the company listed $2.50 a mile on its website in October 2026. The trailer was built by The Hudson Trailer Company.
